Easy Returns

(1) Interpretation

In this Returns Policy, we means Solent Cables Limited (and 'us' and 'our' will be construed accordingly); and 'you' means our customer or potential customer for our products and services (and 'your' will be construed accordingly).

(2) Introduction

We understand that from time to time you may wish to return a product to us. We have created this 14-day returns policy to enable you to return products to us in appropriate circumstances.

This returns policy applies to customers in England and Wales. This policy does not affect any statutory rights you may have (such as consumer rights under the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000), nor is this returns policy an extension of that regulation.

(3) Returns

Where you have no other legal right to return a product and receive a refund or exchange, then you will nonetheless be entitled to return a product to us where:

(a) we receive the returned product within 14 days following the date of purchase of the product;

(b) the returned product is unused, in its original unopened packaging (with any seal or shrink-wrap intact), with any labels still attached, and otherwise in a condition enabling us to sell the product as new;

(c) you comply with the returns procedure set out in Section 4 below; and

(d) none of the exclusions set out in Section 5 below apply.

(4) Returns procedure

In order for you to take advantage of your rights under this returns policy, you must: write to us by using this 'Contact Us' link and request a Return Merchandise Authorisation (RMA) number, you must enclose a copy of your original purchase invoice and clearly write the supplied RMA number as issued by us on the outside of the returning package.

(a) Please note that any items returned to us which you claim to be faulty or incomplete are checked and verified by our technicians. Any returned items that are found not to be faulty or incomplete will be returned to you and we shall be entitled to charge you for the return carriage costs via your original payment method. In the event that your credit card has expired, or is declined we will hold the item(s) until full payment has been made for the return carriage.

(b) Any items that you return to us are at your own risk, therefore we strongly advise all our customers to take reasonable care when returning any items to us for example, by ensuring the goods are correctly addressed, adequately packaged, and carried by a reputable carrier.

You will be responsible for paying postage costs associated with returns under this policy.

We will not accept any liability for items lost or un-delivered.

(5) Exclusions

The following kinds of products may not be returned under this policy:

(a) food, drink and any other products liable to deteriorate within the period set out in Section 2 and 3 above;

(b) DVDs, CDs and other audio or video or audio-visual recordings;

(c) computer software (whether on CD-ROM, DVD-ROM or otherwise);

(d) newspapers, periodicals, magazines or similar products;

e) any type of cable which has been cut off the roll to your required length;

(f) any product ordered in quantity from our supplier, which we would be unable to return to that supplier.

(g) any product made to your specification;

(h) any product made to order;

(i) any product personalised or adapted for you.

(6) Refunds

We will give you a refund for the full product price (less 20%) of any product properly returned by you in accordance with the terms of this returns policy (excluding the original delivery charges and excluding the costs of returning the product to us).

We will usually refund any money received from you using the same method originally used by you to pay for your purchase.

We will process the refund due to you as soon as possible and, in any event, within 30 days following the day we received your returned product.

(7) Improper returns

Where you return a product in contravention of this policy (and where you do not have any other legal right to return the product):

(a) we will not refund or exchange the product;

(b) we may retain the returned product until you pay to us such additional amount as we may charge for re-delivery of the returned product; and

(c) if we do not receive payment of such additional amount within 14 days of issuing a request for payment, we may destroy or otherwise dispose of the returned product in our sole discretion without any liability to you.
